Field Trip

Connor's MDO class went to a farm to learn all about animals from how cows are milked to what an ostrich egg looks like.  He was surrounded by animals so of course he had such a great time.  The whole morning he was running from one animal to the next laughing and saying "Look at the [animal!"]

Taking a hayride to see the ostriches and buffalo
Watching the farmer milk the cow
 Reid intently watching as well
 Connor and Isaac

I don't know if you can tell, but Reid and this goat were having a conversation.  It was funny hearing them "talk" back and forth.
And about 20 seconds of pulling away...

And on the subject of animals, Connor has so much fun when we visit the horses at Paw Paw and Grandma's house.

Helping Paw Paw walk the horse

Also at their house is the cutest Barbie jeep (real men drive pink cars.) They have a blast in it.  Connor drives and Reid thinks it's great to ride along.  I told Josh I just envision 13 years from now when Connor gets his driver's license and Reid thinks it's so cool to go for a ride with his big brother.

They have a long driveway and big front yard so they drive until the battery dies!
So sweet!

Pictures, pictures, pictures

I am very good at taking pictures on my phone, and very bad about uploading them. So here are some random pictures I've taken over the past couple of months and some fun facts about "Con-man" and "Brother Reid."
Fun times at various parks:

His leg is always up like this.  He walks up to everything and hikes up the leg to see if he can climb it!

The boys eat a lot!  They have been known to share 5 hotdogs, (along with fruit and cheese) as well as 16 chicken nuggets at Chick-fil-A!!
Reid signs and/or makes the sounds for the following: dog, daddy, eat, milk, all done, more, cow, horse, cat, water, sheep, elephant, train, snake, bird, car, hot, mama (but usually only when he's upset!) He also knows his toes, fingers, nose, hair, ear, mouth and tongue.  He thinks brushing his teeth is so much fun and he pretends to brush his teeth with his finger.
So while I was in the bathroom for 5 minutes, Connor managed to take a non-washable orange crayon and color his shirt, his brother's shirt, the carpet and his bedspread. While I was trying to scrub that, Reid dumped out a whole package of wipes, a box of cheerios, pulled out kleenex and stuck his hand in poop. I stopped to clean that up only to then find him on the end table in the guest room with the lamp fallen on top of him. All while Connor is peeing in his pants.  I keep reminding myself, "boys get easier; boys get easier!"

Connor and Josh like to play baseball in the backyard.  I told Connor that I'd go out and play with him and he said no he wanted Daddy.  When I asked him why, his reply was "Daddy's a good jobber!"
Yesterday Connor thought Reid did something funny and said, "Mom, Reid's harry-less!" (hilarious)
Through all the craziness, the boys loooove each other.  Whatever one says or does, the other has to repeat it.  They always give each other hugs and kisses and the other day Connor hugged Reid and said "he's my best friend!"  Melts my heart!!
