Weekend Festival

A few weekends ago the boys and I went to a nearby festival where they had all kinds of fun, free activities.  They rode a train, bounced in a bounce house, slide down a water slide, enjoyed watermelon, played on the playground and even waded around in suds (or as we used to call them "foam parties".)  Oh and did I mention Addy happened to be there?!?

Later that afternoon we went to a friends house where there was more outside fun!

What My Boys are Up To

I have stopped and started a couple of different posts this week but was never able to finish one.  So this will highlight what's up with each child this week.

Reid has had hand, foot, mouth disease this week.  Evidently there is an outbreak in Austin.  Poor little guy is covered--all over the feet, hands, one side of the face, around the mouth and in the mouth and a little bit in the diaper area.  Mimi came into town this week and we had plans to take her to a different place everyday but we've had to keep him inside :(  Connor had 24 hours of fever and was begging to go to bed one night at 6:00 and one night at 7:00.  Very unusual!  Knock on wood, he hasn't gotten anything yet...

Speaking of Connor aka Mr. Independent... He's always been an early riser, usually between 5-6:00am.  Once we moved him into his own bed, he'd get up, come in my room to snuggle and watch tv in my bed.  All that changed about a month ago.  Now when he wakes up, I sometimes don't even know it.  He gets out of bed, changes his clothes (loves wearing his mesh shorts and wears them every single day unless they are in the dirty clothes) gets out his breakfast and turns on the tv.  The only thing he sometimes needs help with is turning on the Disney channel.

This Little Light of Mine--take 2

He's Off Once More...

Reid!!! Yes he's off in every which direction but he's also off the charts yet again.  We had his 15 month check up yesterday and here are the stats:

weight: 28lb. 8 oz  - 91%

length: 34 in. - off the charts

head: 48 1/2 - 80%

The doctor said, "well there's no doubt he's eating and growing very well!"  Then she laughed about how both of my boys are always off the charts in height.

Tada! The new summer 'do!

 

 Cool Uncle Jason always seems to give Connor his favorite gifts.  For his birthday he gave him this all-in-one guitar, keyboard and drum set. It rarely leaves Connor's neck!  He gives us concerts all the time and his #1 fan and groupy, Reid, dances and claps right along with him.  So here is Connor giving his "rock out" look!

 Last weekend Josh and I got to have a couples only weekend.  This is rare so we appreciated every minute of it!!  We joined 4 other couples in Bastrop and camped.  Here are the gals...
