Happy Ho! Ho! Ho! to You

We have had the opportunity to see Santa quite a bit this season.  Connor always tells him he wants a drum and a trumpet, so uh, we'll see how Santa does with that.  We've also had lots of fun with Cog, our elf on the shelf.  Last night he took toilet paper and strung it through the tree.  Connor said "Cog's going on the naughty list for that!"

And somehow once again I lucked out and had no screaming kids with Santa.  They both hop right up in his lap with no problem!!  Here are our pictures with the big guy: (sorry not sure why the clarity is so bad)

This was at a Leander ISD Christmas party:
We were shopping at HEB and surprise! Santa was there!
So we had to bring Reid with us the next time
This was from Bass Pro Shop:
And here we are at Lakeline Mall. We've had the same Santa the past 3 years but found out he retired after last year.

Here are the Santa pics from years past:

Children's Museum

Last Friday I loaded up the boys and headed to San Antonio to see MeMaw.  On the way down, we stopped off in New Braunfels to visit their children's museum.  It was awesome! If anyone is ever traveling on I-35 and has two restless kids, I recommend this place.  Since we went on a school day, there were very few kids there and all under age 3.

There is a place to put on bat costumes and fly into a cave.

I thought this was funny.  You stand on a scale and put in your measurements and this chart pops up.  Granted, I did not know his height and weight nor did Connor stand still, but seeing that he takes after his father, this could be accurate.

 Paging Dr. Settlemeyer

The boys loooove train tables!  Good thing Uncle Cannon is getting them one for Christmas!
Astronaut Connor ready for take-off!
And of course his assistant, Reid

 BLASTOFF!!
It was then time to paint a portrait.  They don't care for coloring and painting so this activity didn't last long.
 Hard at work
Can you tell where the paper is and where Reid actually painted?!?  Oops!
 Time to build a house
 Mommy needs cash, please!
They actually swipe the card and pretend cash comes out!!
Jack of all trades.  Connor fixes plumbing problems, too!
 Giddy Up!
Most of you know how much Connor enjoys music.  There was a whole section of instruments so the boys put on a concert for me.

This was their favorite part.  It was an outdoor water area where they worked levies, dams, and anything water related.

Then it was a quick nap in the car before we met MeMaw at Bass Pro shop.  If anyone lives near one, I'd recommend taking the kids.  Pictures with Santa, carousal rides and all games are FREE!!
MeMaw took Connor to Build-a-Bear, where he dressed his koala, Folly, like Buzz Lightyear.

More pictures!!

I am behind on blogging.  The boys and I have been on the road a lot lately. In fact, I just leave the suitcases out these days.  Hopefully after the holidays I will get caught up!!

Here are some recent pictures of all we've been up to:

The boys love playing the piano at Mimi's house!

Mimi was practicing her solo she sang at church one morning, with a very captive audience!
Helping Mommy shop
One night the boys and I shared a bed together. I was sandwiched in the middle, but I didn't mind. :)  When I came into bed, Reid's feet were up at the pillow and his head toward the end of the bed.
Mimi and Papa Jud have a bucket full of dress up clothes which the boys really have fun with!

Have I mentioned that both of the boys can get out of their car seats?!?  Connor undoes the buckles but at least knows to wait until the car is in park.  Reid shimmy's his way out while I'm driving!!

 Helping Mimi make sugar cookies.
The box was much more entertaining than the actual toy that was in there!

MeMaw and Connor making turkey brownies.
 Reid had one too!

Connor's Thanksgiving Feast.  His Indian name was Sitting Bull.

Josh and I got to have a much needed weekend just to ourselves!!  We drove to Fredericksburg for the night and had a really great time.  We visited a couple of wineries, ate some delicious German food, and even went to a live oldies show.   We made it back home by 9:30am the next morning and I was able to put up all the Christmas decorations before picking up the kids!

Reid got his first haircut by someone other than Daddy.  He was a champ!

 Mesmerized by the Dora video!
He also had an ear infection but ice cream at the drive thru made it much better!

All this traveling, makes two tired little boys!

I leave you with more Connor-isms (at least the ones I can remember!)

Gront - Christmas lights that look really cool
Halloweening someone, as in "I just Halloweened you" - jumping out and surprising someone
Sassyphone - an animal that makes a kissing sound.  Connor would like to get one and name it Zazzy.
Man-gers - Animals that are super fast and get vultures.  They have spoons for hands that they use to hit the bad animals.
Zoogies - Bad animals that throw rocks.
Robey - a blue animal that sometimes lives on the farm
Swishy - a sound that is made when rubbing two cymbals together.

While riding in the car, Connor turned to Reid (who was just looking out the window) and said, "Reid, open your mouth and take a chill pill!"

Love these boys! They always keep me laughing!!
