Ssssssnake

So yeah, this happened.  Josh was out of town for the week, the big boys were at school (on lockdown because of a swat situation nearby.) So while all of that was going on, I went into my bathroom and picked up some clothes to wash and lo and behold a snake went slithering across my bathroom floor!!!  I tried calling Josh, but he wasn't answering. So I put on my big boots and gloves and did my best.
I know it was a harmless garden snake, but still.  It was a snake in my bathroom!!! And every time I'd go to trap it, it would quickly slither away!  Eeeeekkk!!!
I finally trapped it and left it there for the boys to see.  I thought Connor would want to do the honors of taking it back outside, but nope.  Mom had to do it!!!  I put him waaaaay out there in our backyard.
And not snake related, but so darn sweet. Drew is very loving and gives me kisses by putting his hands on my face.  Love him!!!!!

January Part 2

Trying to finish out January on this last day of February!

Oh Drew bug. He's always into everything.  He poured out flour among other baking items.

And he's so proud of himself!
Monkey see, monkey do. (he's curling his eyelashes.  This, of course, was after he put on his deodorant!)

 Reading his books!

Looking at all the deer in our front yard

 Loving on those cats!

Drew likes to bring the cats books to read as well!

Garfield "playing" with Drew and his blocks
Reid lost his first top tooth!
Like father, like son (both playing on their iPads)
We always enjoy an evening fire on our back porch
Getting ready for the tooth fairy!
Oh yeah; he's up to something!
Drew and Luke. Luke's grandparents and Drew's grandparents are very good friends and are about to become next door neighbors. Luke is 4 months older than Drew so visits to grandparents house are about to become even more fun!

Drew was hugging baby Paige who is 3 months old.
He hugged Luke and Luke's response was, "how nice."

The boys went to a birthday party at Incredible Pizza.  Connor has decided that's where he wants to have his party in June.

This was hilarious.  Drew sat on the train not knowing it was going to move.  I put money in it and it started moving.  He had a firm grip on the steering wheel, and looked straight ahead with a very serious look.

After a couple of rounds, I finally got him to look at me, but he was still in serious mode.

Racing!!  Connor led most of the way, then Reid pulled through at the very end.

Drew thoroughly enjoyed the chicken nuggets and mac and cheese.

The party was for a third grader.  All were in 3rd grade except for Reid.  Before going on any of the rides, they had to meet a certain height requirement.  There were only two party goers who met that requirement---the Settlemeyer boys.  So Reid was able to do things the 3rd graders were not!! HA!

January Fun, Part 1

The kids wrote thank you notes for their Christmas presents, and I found this in the mail!!!
Where's Drew???  He was trying to get the basketball
Josh built a little toy/storage room under the stairs for Drew.  It's the perfect size for him!
Our outside cats like to sneak in and curl up with the boys
He thinks he's such a big boy.  He climbs into Reid's booster seat and tries to buckle himself
Drew's best buddies (when his other best buddies are at school!)
He likes to try on everyone's shoes (then we have to go look for them!)

One afternoon when the boys got off the bus, they each had a snack and were all sitting together eating.

Breakfast fun at Chick-fil-A! Speaking of CFA, I am now working part time there as the marketing and hospitality assistant.  I get to plan all the kids time and family events so it's a lot of fun!
I just love watching this baby sleep!
He followed the cats under the trampoline and sat down in the mud!
 Drinking Mommy's smoothie!!!

He really enjoys reading, which makes me happy, happy!
We live on a street where vehicles travel way too fast.  So Connor came up with the idea to make a speed bump out of pine cones.  It worked!!! Cars slowed or stopped not knowing what was in the road.

After eating at Schlotzsky's, Drew walked outside and sat down on the sidewalk to watch the excavators working across the street!
 Hanging out with Reidy Reid
Some animal sounds (this was from a month ago so he's added a few since then!)
He follows those cats everywhere!
All these little boys live on our street.  They hop from house to house.

Drew likes to empty my kitchen cabinets, then sit inside (then Mommy gets to clean up!)

 He's such a climber!!!

Drew likes to walk Maddie! (But actually Maddie walks him!)

While we were in a store, he found a hat and put it on.  These ladies next to us thought it was so cute!

He kept scooting down in the car seat, not wanting to be buckled up!

He also likes to empty my drawers.

And again, Mommy gets to put them all back!
 Eating a biscuit at CFA
My little grocery store driver fell asleep at the wheel!!!
