Back-to-Back Big 12 Champs

I was so glad to be able to see the Baylor Bears clinch the Big XII title again this year.  Connor came to the game with me where we met up with family and friends.
This is Craig who was my best friend at Baylor.  We hung out all the time and even call each other brother and sister. Sadly, Craig was diagnosed with cancer a couple of months ago and is currently undergoing chemo. I was SO glad to get to see him looking happy and healthy!!
 Cousin Denton!

The game ran late so Connor literally fell asleep on the chairs with this blanket over him! The music was loud, people were cheering and he slept through it all!
Fun, fun night cheering on the Big XII Champs!

On The Move...

I know I've been saying this a lot lately, but I'm so behind on posting.  As many people know, we have moved our family from the Austin area to the Houston area.  We swore we'd never move to the Houston area, but we've learned to never say never.  Although I'm glad to be closer to family and many friends, leaving Austin was very bittersweet. Austin is such a fun city and we said goodbye to amazing friends.  BUT, after only a few days here we've had fun outings with family and friends and look forward to the adventures ahead.

So...here's many pictures that I never got around to posting.
He said this was one of his favorite things to eat.  It was a breakfast taco, but instead of a taco it was in a pancake.  Right up his alley!!
 Enjoying lunch at Connor's school!

It was really cold outside and we were about to go to an outdoor party.  I told the boys to go get their warm clothes on...and this is how they dressed.  Reid took off his warm clothes because he thought I meant "warm weather clothes."
Connor getting ready to go with Daddy to a very cold and wet Gig 'Em Aggie game.

Since we didn't put up a Christmas tree this year, Mimi let the boys help decorate both of her trees.  They LOVE decorating for Christmas! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of Connor decorating. :(

While Reid was decorating, Connor was cheering on the Ags. Brrrr...

We were involved in a program called Parents as Teachers, which I've mentioned before.  It is a WONDERFUL program and I encourage any stay at home parents to look into that within their school district.  I cannot say enough good things about this program.
Our parent educator, Ms. Elaine and Reid were doing a science experiment.

I found this and thought it was fitting for some certain grandmas that we know ;)

Having fun at Chick-fil-a.  CFA was on our weekly dinner menu while Daddy worked each week in Houston.
One night I found Reid asleep on the floor.  Apparently, he had fallen out of his bed onto his pillows and kept on sleeping!
It's no secret that the boys are very early risers and always have been. On this morning, we made it to HEB before 6:00am!
You know it's early when we leave the store and it's still dark outside!!
I got a kick out of Connor's library books.  You never know what they will check out!
We made a visit to the Children's Museum in New Braunfels on our way to see MeMaw.
Showing how astronauts sleep on the space ship.
Of course their favorite, showing how astronauts go to the restroom while on the space ship.

 Such cute little astronauts!!

I Scream, You Scream...

It's no secret that we are HUGE Blue Bell lovers in our house! At any given time one can find 5-10 half gallons of Blue Bell in our freezer.  We love it.
A few weekends ago as we were making the drive from Magnolia back to Leander, we stopped for lunch in Brenham.  And, well, you can't stop in Brenham and NOT stop at the Blue Bell Factory!!!  We toured the facility, but the best part came at the end of the tour:

ICE CREAM!!!

YUM!!!

Baylor Homecoming

The morning after Halloween, we awoke early to drive to Waco for Baylor Homecoming, one of our favorite weekends of the year!

Getting ready!

We left around 7:00am to make it in time for the parade!

We always love the parade!
 Look! It's the REAL bears!
 So serious!!
Mom with Patricia Snook.  Patricia and dad grew up in Livingston together then both went to BU.

He's ready, coach!

It's been a tradition since Jason and I were this age to visit the floats the morning after the game.

SIC 'EM BEARS!!!!
