Pre-K Graduation

We have another Pre-K graduate in our house.  Reid started at this preschool in January and we couldn't be happier with it.  I'm just sad he was only there 4 months!  Maybe in 2 years, baby #3 can start there!

Reid asks at least 10 times a day how many more days until Kindergarten.  He is soooo ready for big school!!  (And I am too!;))

Walking across stage to receive his diploma and a sweet children's bible.

We were glad Mimi and Papa  Jud were there to watch!

This kid gives us a run for our money, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE him so!!

Picture Round Up

Here we go...

Where one goes, the other is not far behind...

Reid is catching up to Connor in size! Occasionally, we get asked if they are twins.
Connor acted in a play in his classroom, where he was a king and got to wear this crown,
One Sunday afternoon, we went to Tomball to a German festival. The boys got to pick ONE carnival activity they wanted to do.  Reid picked the pony ride.

And Connor picked the trampoline.  He was doing all kinds of flips!

They tried their hands out at roping.

We used to find frogs in our rent house.  (YUCK) One day Reid was the man of the house since Daddy was gone and Connor was at school, so he had to help me catch and release the frog.
Reid and I were at Connor's school watching the 1st grade performance.
Connor was a sssssssnake.  It was a cute performance.

When Connor does his homework, Reid has to always be nearby.
Connor will sometimes bring home extra homework sheets for Reid to do.

Then he calls Connor over to check his work. :)

Hanging out with these two monkeys!

We went to a carnival at Reid's school.

Connor got a prayer journal at church. Her are a couple of his entries.

Although they fight like crazy, I really love catching them in these sweet moods!  Worst of enemies, best of friends!

Snaggle Tooth

I think it is so cute when kids are missing their front teeth!!  Connor lost the two bottom teeth in the fall, but has been "on hold" with the others.  But then one of the front teeth recently started wiggling!!  He would push it with his tongue and after weeks, it finally became really loose.  One afternoon he and Reid were rough housing, as they always do (mom's with boys can relate!) Then all of a sudden, Connor said, "Hey Reid just kicked me in the mouth and my tooth came out!"  Thankfully there were no tears, but rather laughter that the little brother literally kicked out the tooth!

Showing the hole where the baby tooth once was!
 Re-enacting the event!!
Showing off his new, cute smile
The new way for him to drink through a straw.
And because he was an accomplice in helping Connor lose his tooth, the Tooth Fairy left a quarter for Reid under his pillow!

Oddly enough, I remember losing my front tooth when I, too, was in first grade.  Jason and I were playing around in Mom and Dad's room, while Dad was watching tv and Mom was ironing (that hasn't changed in 30 years!) My little brother kicked me in the mouth and I felt something on my tongue.  I put it on the ironing board and ran back to beat up on Jason some more.  I'll never forget Mom saying, "Allison, do you know what this is?  It's your tooth!"
So just like Connor, I lost the same top tooth, at the same age and in the same way!  Oh those little brothers!!
