As I've mentioned before, Connor has a new face and/or sound almost every week. So this week he has learned how to pucker his lips and suck his top lip into his nostrils. Lovely, right? Here are some of those pictures along with others of the past few days.
Worn out after our walk Mom I REALLY want to go outside REALLY... Always has that tongue out More please...
I LOVE this state! If I were to live anywhere outside of Texas, it would definitely be Colorado. Long before marriage and child, I actually applied for jobs in Denver. Little did I know that my future husband lived there for 10 years and whose family still owns a house there. So it was only fitting that when we got engaged Josh took me there. His family's house is in Estes Park and it is the best vacation spot; probably my favorite. It is always so relaxing there and you just can't beat the beautiful scenery. So when Josh asked how I wanted to celebrate the big 3-0, I voted for a family vacation to Estes. Connor did very well on his first plane ride. Thankfully he slept most of the way both times. But boy it is hard traveling with a baby!! I don't know how one parent does it without the other. Here are some pictures from the trip. Poor Connor got altitude sickness when we first got there, then his face dried out horribly. So most photos you'll see his red face. Josh had the opportunity to go fly fishing and had a blast. We also were able to get together with Josh's childhood friend and his wife and 16 month old girl. And we can't forget Aunt Val and Doug. We were glad they stopped by as well!
All in all, we had a great time and are already planning our next trip out!
Yep Connor turned 8 months this week. He is crawling everywhere and getting into everything! He opens drawers from the bottom to the top; he has learned how to unscrew and take the knob off his drawer; he unrolled the toilet paper roll in the bathroom; he knows how to open the door to Daddy's office if it's not closed all the way. And what's scary is that he pulls up on everything and is a fast walker when Josh and I hold his hands. So I bet soon we'll hear pitter patter. Below are his monthly photos. (it's very difficult to get him to hold still these days!)
Sleep is still an issue. Most nights he sleeps through the night, but wakes every morning at 5:00 am and doesn't go back to sleep! He goes down for his first nap when many babies are just waking up for the day.
On a sad note, a girl in my Tri-Delt pledge class passed away yesterday of cancer. She was diagnosed just 4 short months ago while in the hospital giving birth to her son. She recently turned 30 and leaves behind a husband and 3 young sons. People from all over have been following her story these past few months and are very saddened to see her lose this battle. Please pray for her family and may her sons always know what a wonderful mother they had.
Josh and I met in July 2001 at a friend's wedding. Fast forward 5 years when we married June 10, 2006. After living 2 years in McKinney, 6 years in the Austin area, we moved to The Woodlands area in December 2014. We have been blessed with 3 sweet boys who keep us laughing constantly. I am a stay at home mom and LOVE it!! God is good!
