Squeaky Clean

Well I'm alive. The Long, Tall Texan didn't kill me afterall.  But I don't think he was thrilled with what I did either.  Oops!
Now onto the other little single men in my life.  I've mentioned before that Reid loves the bath tub.  He sings and kicks and tries to eat the wash cloth.

And Connor's newest thing is taking a shower.  He does not like for us to help him at all.  In fact, we have to close the shower door and just watch from outside.  Here is a video of him enjoying his time in there. He usually sings and dances but this one only features his dancing skills.

Waitin'

Ever since Connor was just a few months old, we run outside every Wednesday morning to see the garbage men.  Once we hear them coming he yells "HURRY HURRY!" and runs outside to wave to them.  They look forward to seeing him just as much as he loves waving to them.  In fact, we've been gone the past 3 weeks and yesterday they told us they missed us!  Connor also does the "big truck honking horn" sign so the garbage man lays down on the horn all up and down the street until he and Connor are out of sight.  They come between 7-8:00am so neighbors know because of Connor they won't be sleeping in on Wednesday mornings.
Yesterday he could hardly wait so he grabbed his lawn chair and sat in the front yard waiting...
"I see them coming, Mommy!"
"HONK THE HORN!"

Last weekend we went to the park with our church group.  The kids got to fish, play in the sprinklers and eat cupcakes.

Reid's doing a very good job of lifting his head.  In fact, he does it all the time.  We'll be going down the road and instead of leaning back in his car seat his head is upright leaning over. Here he is during tummy time:

And CONGRATULATIONS Angela and Brent on baby Ava Reese!!  Reid is so glad his girlfriend has arrived!

I LOVE This Weather!!!

And no I am definitely not talking about Texas weather.  I'm referring to my favorite vacation spot, Estes Park, Colorado.  We were able to spend 7 days up there and I soooo wish I was still there.  I've decided that next summer I'm spending at least a month up there because you can't beat the wonderful weather and scenery.
MeMaw, Nannie and Aunt Val were able to join us, which was such a treat.  Then the Luedeker Family and Bloss Family made the trip up a few days later. LeAnn has always heard me talk about Estes and now she too is hooked!!
We celebrated Josh's 33rd birthday and enjoyed an amazing fireworks show on the 4th.  The boys stayed at home with our super babysitters and had fun just watching fireworks on tv. Connor did not go to bed each night until 9 or 9:30 (10:30 TX time) and was up between 4:30-5:30 every morning.  So we didn't do a lot of resting on this trip, but it was great nonetheless.
Here is a slideshow which captures some of the memories this year. They are out of order b/c as I was moving them around, the program froze on me. I tried to put captions under most of them:

Mmm, Mmm Good!

Connor had spaghetti today.  I think the pictures speak for themselves:

Reid has now found his toes.  I think it's so cute when babies do this:
And this video is for the grandparents who only get to see their boys every few weeks:
