Smarty Pants

There is a computer program that MeMaw teaches her 1st graders about the alphabet and getting ready to read.  She decided to show it to Connor and wow!!  He taught himself how to use the mouse to point and click and even drag and click. He plays games where he has to identify lower and upper case and even drag letters into place to make words.  And he gets them right every time.  It is amazing to watch a 2 year old doing this.  For anyone interested the web site is http://www.starfall.com/ I definitely limit his activity to only a couple of days a week but it's really a site to see.

Papa Jud has to wear glasses when on the computer, so one time I came into the room and Connor had PJ's glasses on "working" as well!  It was cute.

FEED ME!!

I'm convinced that if Reid could talk, this is what he'd say.  I mean, at 5 months he's 20lb so it takes a lot to fill this boy up.  I asked the doctor at his 4 month check up if we could start rice cereal and she suggested waiting until 5 months...but what does she know?!?  I did wait until about 4.5 months and then the "real" food began.  Not surprisingly, he loved it from the get go.  In fact, when I pull the spoon away he immediately reaches out to pull it back into his mouth.

Not so sure what to do once it hits the tongue
I think there's more on his face than in his mouth
OK this stuff is goooood!!!

5 Months

Little boy Reid hits the 5 month mark today!!  I said this with Connor and I'll say it this time around, but seriously each stage gets better and better.  I just looooooove him (both of them, actually) so much!!

Here we go with a birth-month wrap up:

--He just started babbling words like dada, nana, yaya.  It's so cute!!
--We just started him on rice cereal and he loves it.  A post soon to come on this.
--He wears 6-9 month clothing, although has been known to fit just fine in 12 month outfits.
--Still drools like crazy but no signs of teeth just yet.
--Laughs all the time!!!  Unless he's tired or hungry this kid is always smiling and laughing.  And that sweet laughter helps with his mama's fatigue.  I just can't help but laugh right along with him.
--His naps are pretty inconsistent, but I think I am to blame on some of that b/c we are on the go so much.  If we are at home he usually takes 3 naps.
--Wakes up 1 sometimes 2 times during the night.

Connor loves to make Reid laugh.  Take a look:

Here are his monthly pics.  Notice a similarity here:

Ashes, ashes...

And some others that make me smile:

Back to School

Today was Connor's first day back at Mother's Day Out. (They've been out for less than 2 weeks.) But nevertheless, it's the start of a new school year. Here he is with his big lunch kit.
He found Josh's coffee cup and insisted on taking his coffee this morning.

OK I think we're done with pictures.

Here is an after school picture.  His shirt, leg and shoe were covered in paint.
Josh and I tickle Reid by pressing our nose into his stomach.  As most things, it's monkey see, monkey do!!

We got brave!!!
