Good, Clean Fun!

All moms should encourage their kids to get dirty every once in a while, right?!?

And let's not forget the deodorant after we clean up!

Hug It Out

When the boys get mad at each other I make them stop and "hug it out."  They have to do this until I say stop.  Sometimes this method doesn't work but most of the time they end up laughing and thinking it's funny.

Aren't they too cute for words?!?

1,2,3 Jesus Loves Me

Today at church Connor's choir sang for the congregation.  This group is compromised of kids ages 4-6 and Connor is the youngest.  They only sang one song at two of the services but practice quite a few.  I have been singing these songs to the boys since they were babies.  Maybe it's because Mimi was my church choir teacher when I was Connor's age.  All of the kids did a great job.  It's so sweet to hear their little voices.

And a big thanks to MeMaw for making the drive to come watch Connor sing!  She also brought lunch and dessert!!  The boys helped her make whipped topping for her [homemade] pumpkin pie! Yum!!

I wish I had taken pictures of Reid because before church started he was up on the stage singing songs.  It was hilarious!!!  He was not shy at all! Everyone was laughing and enjoying the "pre-concert!"

Let's Bake Bread Together

Last week I organized a field trip with some of Connor's friends from school to Blue Baker. This is a bakery in College Station and Austin that serves all kinds of yummy breads, sandwiches, soups, etc.  They also offer tours to kiddos which ends with everyone making their own bread.  It was lots of fun!!

Watching the bakers prepare the dough.
Sarah, our tour guide, was explaining what goes into bread making and showed them what wheat looked like
Then they got to dip their hands into a big bowl of flour
 and clap it all off!
She then showed them a huge loaf of bread and Connor asked if that came from Subway!! (He's never even been to Subway!!)
Time to make our own bread.  Reid made a dog filled with chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, raisins and craisins.
Connor made a chocolate egg eating snake!

 Reid's finished doggie bread.
 And Connor's snake
Afterwards the bakery gave everyone a hot, freshly baked chocolate chip cookie!!
Which of course was a big hit!!  I highly recommend checking this place out!!
You have to go back to the bakery later that day or the next day to pick up the bread.  The boys are showing off their yummy creations:
