Texas Stars

Last week, I received 4 free tickets to the Texas Stars playoff game.  It was so much fun!!!  This was the boy's first ever hockey game to attend and they loved it.

I told Reid to make a mad face!!

Can't go to an event and not eat cotton candy!!!

As soon as music started playing, Reid jumped up and would dance.  He even made it on the big screen for his moves!!
They were not ready to leave but at 9:30pm we finally convinced them it was time to go.
Love making memories...

Relay for Life

Relay for Life is a huge deal in Polk County.  Groups start planning a theme and raising money almost a year in advanced.  This started after I graduated and moved away so I had never been, although heard so much about it.  Finally this year, the boys and I were able to go and check it out ourselves.  The theme was Hollywood so each group did a different movie.  The boys had lots of fun playing all the carnival type games and I enjoyed running into so many people from my past.  I talked to everyone from my Kindergarten teacher to my 12th grade computer teacher and many in between.  There's something to be said about small town living!!

Mom's group, the Ding-a-Lings!  They were supposed to be from the movie Clueless.  That pretty much sums up this fun loving group!

Shooting a paintball gun.  This was their favorite thing to do!

Face painting.  Connor got a snake on his face and Reid a shark.  Anytime Reid would open his mouth, the sharks mouth would open as well.  He was walking around all night opening his mouth showing people we knew, and those we didn't!  He's definitely quite social!!
They got to pick one sweet thing to eat and he picked a huge marshmallow covered in sprinkles.

 Connor chose a candy bar.
The elementary school did Cat in the Hat.  Here we have Thing 1 and Thing 2.

This was hilarious!! This group did Animal House and here was their game: Bra Pong.  You tossed the ping pong ball into the bra to win a prize.  They also had a keg of root beer!
 Wizard of Oz!
 Mimi, the Clueless Ding!
This is a bad picture because they had turned the lights off to honor those who have passed away from cancer.  We were all supposed to be smiling...take a look at Reid.  Typical!
We love photo booths!!

A Whole Lotta Fun

We've been having lots of fun lately!  Take a look:

Josh won Rangers tickets on the radio!  This was the bus that took us down to San Antonio to see the Rangers play at the Alamodome.

MeMaw bought us season tickets to Sea World so we made a day trip with our friends Kennedy and Brady.  Weekdays are definitely the time to go! There was no one there and we were able the ride the rides over and over!

 Playing Hi Ho Cherry-O
Some girls and I went to A Painting with a Twist class.  It was SO much fun!!  You start with a blank canvas and slowly work your way up to a masterpiece!

I can't even paint a stick figure so for me, this was indeed a masterpiece!  This painting is Congress Ave bridge in Austin.

One advantage of having early risers is that you are completely finished with your grocery shopping by 7:00am AND you get to be the first one to play the buddy buck machine!!
Our church has a program called Bags of Grace.  It's a program designed to help the homeless.  One night our family met at church and let the kids stuff bags to hand out to the homeless.  They really enjoyed putting them together and a great lesson was taught! :)

Connor is playing soccer this season and doing a great job.  Josh and I are coaching and we are all having so much fun!! Go FIREBALLS!!!
The boys told me they were pretending to have bunk beds.  Reid is underneath the pillows.  They called me in there to see the bunk beds and were holding hands while they "slept!"
My cousin Kim hosts a huge Easter egg hunt each year.  After Easter our Wal-Mart had all these eggs on sale for $.30 each so she had me load up!!
When Reid got out of the bath I sent him to his room to get his pj's on...or so I thought.  When I couldn't find him in his room, he was on the computer, headphones on and NAKED!!

We had lunch with Josh one day and Connor started crying when he left.  Here are their "sad that Daddy's gone" faces.
On this day, Reid's teacher said "he only had to go to time out twice today, so it was a good day!!"  Ay yi yi!!

Connor took my phone while I was driving and took pictures of Reid.

After all this fun, even tough little pirates need their rest!
