Sic 'Em Bears

Wow! It has been an exciting year to be a Baylor Bear!!  Everyone knows that my family bleeds green and gold.  We have been cheering on the Bears even throughout the not-so-good years.  In fact my 4 years that I was there, I only missed one football game not because I wanted to, but because I had to be out of town for something.  During those 4 years, we only won 7 games total!!!!!  So being 11-1 this season is nothing short of greatness!  Thanks to Josh for watching the boys so I could travel to Waco for most of the home games and to Jason for always hooking his big sister up with a ticket!

In November, we bundled up and cheered the Bears onto victory against OU.  It was a blackout game, where everyone in the stands wore black.  And EVERYONE did have on black.  It was really cool to see.

A couple of weekends ago we really bundled up and cheered on the Bears against UT in what ended up being for the Big XII title.  Here is Papa Jud from behind!!! Ha!
It was FREEZING!!!!  It was in the 20's, misting with frozen fog and bitterly cold.  Even with all of my layers and hand and feet warmers, my hands felt like ice.  Brrr.

Pre-game---the girls gathered around the floor heater!

This is really how I looked most of the game!
It ended up being the perfect ending!  Beating UT to clinch the Big XII title!!! Sic 'Em!!
It was a lot of fun to be there at the game.  It was the last game at Floyd Casey Stadium.  As I said above, we've been coming here for many, many years.  It was bittersweet.

Here is a video I took on my phone (not the best quality) of the final closing ceremony.

Here are videos of the boys singing, "That Good Ol' Baylor Line" this year and years past.  It's so fun to look back!  Where has the time gone?!?

Playing Catch up with Pictures

Here are a bunch of pictures of things we did around the first of October.  I'm a little late in posting...

 Mimi came for a visit!

Having a picnic in the backyard
Enjoying movie night complete with popcorn and lots and lots of blankets!

It's wrestle mania around here all.the.time!  Life with boys...

They were reading together.  But where are they?!?

Connor's drawing of a police man!
Bath time!  We usually bathe them one at a time, but whoever is not in the bathtub, still wants to sit on the toilet and talk with the other one. They are inseparable!!
Our good friends, the Colemans, built a zip line in their back yard.  The boys LOVE it!!

Pure sweetness.  Reid's arm is under his big "brovers!"  :)

Thanksgiving Lunch with Crowdog

The week of Thanksgiving, I ate lunch with my little Indian, who was given the name Crowdog.  We had to refer to him as "Crowdog" for two weeks!

Crazy Connor

My big, little Con-Man.  He's growing up so fast!!  He LOVES kindergarten! Even though he is one of the youngest in the class, he can count to 100+,  knows all the Kinder and 1st grade sight words and is doing phenomenally well reading.  By the end of Kindergarten, they are supposed to be on level 3 and he is already on level 5 & 6 and his teacher feels confident that he'll be at level 8 by the end of the year.  He likes to sound out and write notes, sentences, etc. and even though 99% of the time they are really misspelled, he at least is trying. (Side note, I know this blog is all about Connor, but Reid knows most of the Kindergarten sight words and is starting to read as well!)

A couple of months ago, Connor was invited to a birthday party at a yogurt shop.  Here he is with his friend, Brendon.

This is the birthday girl, Apple.  She has a crush on Connor.  Once when I was at school she came up to Connor and told him he was handsome.  Connor, of course, says gross and runs the other way!
Check out the drawing Apple did of she and Connor. (sorry can't get it to straighten)
I wish I knew how to upload videos because last month, Connor learned how to ride his bike and is now riding all over the place, and at full speed! So the night he learned how to ride we let him choose what was for dinner and pizza was the winner!
My Connor, how flexible you are!
I had lunch with him at school one day and he was being silly.
Here are his school pictures!  So handsome! :)
Occasionally I find my phone with pictures of the boys they take of each other without me knowing here.  For example:
When he grows up he wants to be a policeman because they are cool he says.
Having lunch together at school. I try to eat with him once or twice a month, but am up there much more often to volunteer.
Showing off the Halloween shirt I made the boys.
Connor, you need to brush your teeth!
He helped me make these spider oreos for his Halloween party at school.

He enjoyed carving a pumpkin this year.

The finished project (thanks to Daddy!)

Doesn't everyone take a bath with their goggles on?!?
He was trying to figure out how the water drains!
Mimi had lunch with Connor when she came for a visit!
Connor and his buddy, Mason, who Connor says is the goodest in the class. (Behavior wise)
 Check out that spike!
He loves to cuddle and snuggle with me, but it's rare that he falls asleep on me anymore.  I cherish these moments!

Oh how I love my CON-MAN!!
