Today we took a drive down to Spicewood to visit Krause Springs. (Click the name to read more about it) It's a beautiful place and we had a fun visit.
We were greeted by these enormous cypress trees.
Time to get in the water. It was a cool 68 degrees!!
The scenery was so pretty!
I do wish, though, we would have brought tubes or floats, because some parts got deep (and because of the color of the water, you couldn't tell when it dropped off!)
There was a cove with a waterfall.
Just taking it all in!
Time for our picnic.
There was also a swimming pool which was much cooler than 68 degrees, but that didn't stop the boys. Reid jumped right in (over and over and over) before even testing the cold water!
There was a little "hole" in which the kids could swim back through to climb out and jump off again.
There he goes!
Reid was fearless. You can see how he's much smaller than the other kids jumping off!
Connor decided to be brave and jump off a few times.
Coming out through the hole
Looking out onto the waterfall
Touring the butterfly garden.
Connor's new backpack for 1st grade is R2D2 that looks just like this cooler!
Taking the stairs out.
Checking another thing off our bucket list!! Why does the summer have to end?!?
