Happy 70th, Papa Jud

In November, Papa Jud turned the big 7-0.  We celebrated with lunch and cake!

For his birthday, we put together a memory book complied of stories from friends of past and present.  Classmates, teammates, roommates, former students and friends all submitted memories they've shared with PJ.  Some were sweet, some serious and some hilarious.  It's a book we will always cherish.

We love playing football in the front yard!

It was a great day celebrating our favorite PAPA JUD!

The big boys got to tour the Alamo

Back at home, it was time to start decorating for Christmas!
Drew did a pretty good job of not messing with the ornaments too much. Hi favorites were a personalized truck ornament and one with the boys picture!

Turkey Trot

The week before Thanksgiving, the boys school had a Turkey Trot.  It's similar to the Pumpkin Dash, but not a fundraiser.  They invite family members to run/walk with their kids.

Drew is always such a hit at school!!!  All the girls wanting to give him High 5!
While sitting in their class line listening to instructions, Drew ran over and sat down in Connor's lap
And of course, Drew walked/ran right along with all the big kids

Connor with two of his buddies
 Some of the 3rd graders
We went back 3 hours later to walk/run with Reid.  Once again, as soon as Drew found Reid, he ran over to him and sat in his lap.
 This kid loves to run!!!
 Showing off his accomplishments!

Pictures

Rolling out some pictures from November

I LOVE these sweet snuggles!!!

The boys both played football in the fall.  While I don't foresee a professional career in football for them, they both really enjoyed it.  Here is Reid running with the ball.
Go Reid, Go!
Touchdown for the Cowboys!
Connor ready on defense

During Connor's games, Reid and his teammate (whose brother was on Connor's team) liked to play on the playground.
Showing off the footballs the league gave them

Mimi teaching Drew how to play the piano
The cats like to climb onto the ledge of Drew's window to see him. (But when the window is open, Drew gives the cats high fives by accidentally pushing them off the ledge!)

Drew loves the cats and they love him.  He lays all over them and they just sit there.

He likes to feed himself yogurt and if I attempt to feed him, he screams.  Sometimes, though, he misses his mouth

But the good news is, yogurt makes great hair gel!!

He looks like he belongs in Whoville
Reid showing two holes in his mouth!!!  He's now lost 4 on bottom and none on the top.  However, the front top two are getting wiggly
I am the Spirit Night coordinator for our school, meaning I plan all eatery fundraisers.  Chick-fil-a has a spinning wheel and the boys love helping me with that!
Snapchat!!

From Whoville to Bedrock.  Take a look at Pebbles!!!
You can see his big, pretty eyes!

 It cracked me up!
Ever since Halloween, he likes to take his bucket around like this collecting things.
Connor said the pledge in front of the school at the morning assembly

The boys ready for school (Eveyone at our school knows all three Settlemeyer boys very well!)
 Howdy!
Connor built this with his legos.  It says, "I Spy"
Eating more yogurt!

I read a Thanksgiving book to both Reid and Connor's class then we made turkey cookies

The last Baylor football game of the season

The crew.  Josh stayed back with Drew and Mimi had to work a wedding at church (she's the wedding coordinator)
Being a Bear fan is so exhausting!
