No news is good news

I wasn't going to update anything until we received all the results from Connor's blood tests, but many people have been so sweet to write and call that I figured I'd tell what we know to this point.

When Connor went to bed last night his temp was 105 and then at 5:00am it was 103. Once the motrin kicked in, he was back to his normal very active self. In fact he was so full throttle I couldn't get him to nap.

Then we went to the doctor and he was NOT happy. I know they say kids this young can't remember, but he was laughing and playing until we were called in. Anyway, the UTI came back negative and the white stuff (I hate the term) on his tonsils is no longer there; just very red. The blood cultures still have to "cook" the doc said so we won't know anything until tomorrow or the next day. Later this afternoon his temp spiked back up to 103, but after tylenol it's back down to 99. SO...at this point we still don't know what's going on. The doc mentioned again his high white blood cell count, but until we get all results back, it's just a guessing game. Hopefully we will hear something tomorrow. He's on amoxicillin now and we're just going to watch his temperature and see if he has any reactions. It just makes me so sad when he can't even lift his head up off my shoulder b/c he's so sick :(

Thanks to everyone for thinking of us. I'm sure my little Energizer bunny will be back to normal soon!!

And I can't post without some kind of picture, so here's one from a few days ago:

glad to hear he is doing better....Ethan has gotten tepms twice of over 105....we took him to the ER and they never found anything wrong....he seems to spike really high fevers when he gets sick. Its so hard cuz they are just lifeless...we will be thinking of you and Conner so you can get thru the next couple of days!

So sorry to hear your little guy is under the weather. That's the hardest part about being a mommy. Enjoy the snuggle time while you can though because I'm sure he'll be back up and running (literally) real soon. Take care of yourself too!
