Did you know...

That it's dangerous to take a nap...

-or-

The word "pouncy" means you get down on all fours and kick one leg up in the air.  As in the song "ashes ashes we all fall pouncy."

-or-

A Packi No Nos talk in a very high pitched voice and live in Dallas?

These are things I learn from Connor everyday!  He also likes to make up songs about anything.  He has such a great imagination.  He talks on the phone to his make believe friends Maria and Uncle Pa Wa often and occasionally they come to visit.  (Although sometimes Maria has to stay home and drive the tractor.)

Reid trying to give Connor a kiss.

At school as the teacher reads a book she turns it outward to show the kids. So Connor was doing the same with his audience. And every book that he reads starts off "Once upon a time..."

So a few weeks ago we decided to move Connor into a toddler bed.  Not because he was crawling out of his crib, just because we felt it was time.  Oh boy!!!  We had one great week where he went to bed just fine and slept until 5-6:00.  Well things have gone downhill since then.  It would take over an hour to get him to sleep at night then he'd get up out of his bed several times during the night.  And I am NOT about to start putting him in bed with us.  So as exhausting as it was we'd march him back down to his room and go through the whole process again.  He was only getting 7-8 hours of sleep a night!!  We decided to put a gate up this week which has definitely helped, but last night both boys decided to wake up at 4:30 crying.  Reid was easy to get back down, but Connor cried and was up until 5:45ish.  He finally went back to sleep for 30 minutes.  Josh said this morning it is like having a newborn all over again.  So moral of the story: if your toddler is not jumping out of his or her crib yet, LEAVE THEM!!  I should've listened to this advice!!
