Settlemeyer, party of 5 coming soon!! We are so excited to welcome another little Baylor Aggie into the family sometime around August 15th. (I went 40+ weeks with the boys so I'm not holding my breath he or she will come before then!)
I found out I was pregnant a couple of weeks before we moved. So we relocated for a new job, moved into a new house (and since we're just renting this house until June, we're looking to buy another one) and getting ready for a new baby. Fun times!!
Despite everything happening at once, we are very excited! I've always wanted 3 kids (even in my high school memory book I wrote that I wanted 2 boys and a girl.) I'm sure it's another boy, but we are going to wait again this time to find out the sex. Having Josh announce "BOY" as soon as Reid arrived was the BEST!!
We waited until 2nd trimester to tell everyone, including the boys. Reid is very excited and hopes to have a little sister. He has had some of the sweetest prayers! Here parts of those prayers:
"Let us have a girl. Please let Connor and me be big brothers and help out the baby. And please do'nt let us hurt Mommy's tummy and the baby in her tummy. Please give Mommy and the baby what she needs tonight. Please let us have a girl. Please let the baby be safe and have a crib."
For a while, he would life up my shirt and ask me (sometimes several times a day) if my belly was getting bigger! So cute.
Now Connor, is a different story. He is not at all happy with this baby thing because he is afraid it might be a girl and he does NOT want a sister. In fact, as soon as we told him he walked up to me with an angry face and said, "Your belly is not big so I dont think there's a baby in there." He then proceeded to ask, "so when did THIS happen?" Josh and I were dying laughing. I told him the baby would be here before he started 2nd grade and his response was, "well, hmph!"
Oh this is going to be fun, and despite the varying opinions, we are very excited to soon be a family of FIVE!!
