Zoo Lights

Before the kids went back to school after Christmas break, Mimi and I took the boys to the Houston Zoo.  It was a beautiful day and because all the other school districts had already started, the zoo was fairly empty.  And on top of that, it was FREE admission.  A win-win all the way around!

We started off with a train ride around the park
We stopped to see the elephants and one turned and went #2 right in front of us. Of course the boys thought that was hilarious and gross!
Getting ready to see the reptile house
This was a large albino crocodile and even though he was behind a glass wall, the boys didn't want to get too close!

Cheerleaders?!?

Yep that's a king cobra
Connor, watch out!!!

Some apes at the zoo

Feeding the giraffes! This was definitely a favorite thing we did!

Even Drew got to see the giraffes

Uncle Jason and I have a picture in front of this lion water fountain about 30+ years ago!
Reid loves JJ Watt!

Petting zoo

We stayed to see zoo lights at night.  It was very impressive!!!

Enjoying hot cocoa

His chocolate mustache!
Until I took the picture and showed him, he didn't realize it was all over his face!  I think that means he enjoyed it!!
While on the trail of lights we saw a talking zebra.  It was funny.  Reid wasn't quite sure...
