WHEN? WHAT? HOW is it that our sweet Drew bug is already 6 months old?!? Oh time sloooow down please!!!
He is still such a happy baby! Being the 3rd child, I have to often wake him from a nap and drag him to all kinds of school and sporting events, church meetings, etc. But he always has a big grin on his face. And this kid is active! No surprise since his big brothers were as well. I remember taking Connor and Reid places when they were little and people would always comment on how active they were. Drew bug never stops moving! His hands and feet are always in motion. During church last Sunday there were 4 little ones in the nursery. The three ladies in there said he was rolling and moving all over the room. They commented that I better be ready because once he starts crawling, he's going to be all over the place. I know that day is soon coming because he likes to get on all fours and rock back and forth.
His new thing is scrunching up his nose!
He notices and grabs for anything!
"Give me that!"
I'm posting this at 6 1/2 months, and just in the past week or so, he began sleeping through the night (sometimes!) I did one night of letting him cry it out and it was awful. He cried for an hour straight. Even though the older boys did not use pacifiers I know Drew likes to self soothe with those. So I placed some in his crib and now when he wakes up, he just finds a paci, puts it in his mouth and falls back to sleep. I know it's not a plan doctors would recommend, but for now it's allowing us both to get more sleep. So he goes down around 7:30pm, stirs a bit during the night, then wakes between 5-6:00am. Thankfully, he loves his bed so I leave him in there for about an hour until I go get him.
He likes to put his chin down and puff out his chest. Connor used to do that too.
I love this. It looks like he's a model posing for the camera!
I have just begun feeding him food, other than rice cereal. So far, he's had bananas, apple sauce and avocados and has liked them all. Tomorrow we start peas!
He has found his private parts and now whenever I take off his diaper or put him in the bath, his hands immediately go searching for it!!
He babbles a lot, but still no clear words.
Can sit up on his own, but is still a bit wobbly.
Just cut his first bottom tooth!
