Galveston

During Spring Break, Mimi and the boys and I decided to do a little traveling in the Houston/gulf area.  The boys had never been to Galveston so we went there for the day.  It was a beautiful day but quite chilly so we skipped the beach and had other fun things planned.
Watching the big boats, birds and fish
We took a dolphin tour which was really fun!
Next, it was time to visit an old timey ice cream and candy shoppe.  The boys each enjoyed a delicious shake. I just love this "action" shot!!

 Greetings from Galveston
They had never seen a telephone booth

Next we toured an old submarine used in war.  Connor said this was his favorite part of the trip.

We then all played on the nearby playground.

It was fun trying new things! What's not on here is the tremendous sleepy tantrum Drew threw, only to take a 10 minute nap, then lie awake until about 10:00pm!!!  We were staying in a hotel so it was a bit of a difficult evening, but we made it through!!

Day #2 up next...
