Seems I know someone else in our family that is tall and skinny. And Connor's head is growing because of all the knowledge he is obtaining. Seriously, it amazes me how quickly he learns and retains things we teach him. We can look at a picture in a book, or I can tell him the sound an animal makes, for example, and after showing/telling him two times, he remembers. We hold up pictures of several objects, animals, people, etc and say "where's the ..." and he can pick it out. If it's an animal he also does the sound. The doctor said they consider that talking since he can relate the sound to the animal. Here are a few of his favorite sounds to make:
truck, choo-choo train, cow, bird, monkey, duck, cat, dog, pig, frog
He also has learned the finger shake to mean "no-no." He will sit about a foot away from our fireplace and shake his finger. And one morning I caught him standing up in his crib shaking his finger at the plug. We sing all sorts of songs with hand movements and he picks up on those pretty quickly as well. (Like Twinkle, Twinkle and Itsy Bitsy Spider for example)
He enjoys reading books himself. He can sit for the longest time just opening each page of a book and making noises. Yesterday when he woke up from his nap, he was sitting in his crib turning the pages of a book saying "vroom vroom" or "moo" every time he'd recognize the sound of the animal/object. It's so funny.
He LOVES to give hugs and kisses. In fact, at the library he's become quite the ladies man. He likes to pet some of the little girls then go in for an open mouth kiss!! One mother came up to me and asked Connor's name because she was going to write in her daughters baby book that her first kiss was with Connor. I'm in trouble! And I LOVE his tight hugs. He will be playing across the room, see me, come over and give me a big hug, then go back to playing. And whenever he sees or hears a little kid crying, he goes up and hugs them also. It is the sweetest thing!!!
He waves hello and goodbye to everyone. We make a lot of friends at the swimming pool b/c he waves to all the swimmers and tanners. We try to go out every Wednesday morning and wave to the garbage men and they get a kick out of him. Today he waved to all the roofers on a house down the street. Needless to say, he's a very friendly fellow.
Here are our monthly photos. It is impossible to get him to hold still!!

I'm sure I'll keep thinking of things to add to this post (since this is my current baby book!!)
