Reid eating corn on the cob like Papa Jud
Reid was styling Mimi's hair. If the sports route doesn't work out for him...??
Uncle Jason came to Livingston for a few days. The boys sure do love their Uncle Jason!!
Sadly, there was a very tragic moment while we were there. One of Mimi and Papa Jud's Blue Jays was killed by a stray cat. So Papa Jud and the boys buried it in the backyard alongside our dear sweet dog, Princess, and the albino squirrel (that again was killed by a stray cat!)
Here Reid is helping dig the grave.
Connor burying the blue jay.
Placing bricks around the grave.
Then Papa Jud said we needed to say a prayer after they buried it. Connor insisted that he be the one to pray. So PJ took off his hat, we all bowed our heads, then after a moment of silence, Connor placed his hand on his heart and began, "I Pledge Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America..." (Anyone picturing Chevy Chase at the Christmas dinner table?!?) PJ and I kept cutting our eyes at one other grinning so that Connor couldn't see.
We drove down to Sugar Land to visit Granddaddy one day! He turns 93 next week!
Granddaddy is always all smiles when he gets to see his family!
A ritual when visiting L-town is going to Pedigo Park to feed the ducks. There were some crazy geese that were all in Reid's face and snipping at him, but he didn't seem to care at all. Connor on the other hand, ahem, ran off screaming!!
I actually had to pin one of the geese between my knees because he was so crazy!
Love :)
Reid was dancing a little jig
Even though they spend a lot of time in time out, I can't get enough of these two!!
My favorite Reid in the whole wide world!
Time to tackle Mimi!!
I'm not sure whose winning!!
Visiting the Lake Livingston Dam
Mimi and Papa Jud moved into the house where they live today when I was just 4 years old and Jason was 2. He and I will always consider this home. And thus, I'm so blessed to have two places to call
Home Sweet Home!
