This was a common phrase heard by Reid around the house for a few days because HE LOST HIS FIRST TOOTH!! I was not ready for that to happen so soon, considering Connor didn't lose his first tooth until 1st grade! But...he wants to do everything big brother does!! For months, he's been saying he had a loose tooth, and he'd pick various teeth to show me (none of which were really loose!) So when he told me about his bottom tooth, I figured once again, he was just hoping he'd have a loose tooth. But sure enough I was able to wiggle it!! Josh and Connor and I knew about it, but he wanted to keep it a secret from everyone else. We spent 4 days at Jellystone (more on that to come) with Mimi and Papa Jud, but he never let in on the loose tooth secret! Then around 2:30am one night at Jellystone, Reid comes barreling down the stairs, wide eyed and whispers, "I lost my tooth!" Evidently, he woke up and began wiggling it. Thankfully there was no blood, but I had him wash out his mouth and he headed back to bed. Then the next morning, he smiled for Mimi and Papa Jud who were completely shocked, because they had no idea he had a loose tooth. So for the next several days he kept repeating, "can you believe I lost my tooth?" And then he'd smile over and over asking if the hole was still there!
Such a cute snaggle tooth!!
Tooth fairy pillow is ready!
Because the tooth fairy brought Connor $5 for his first lost tooth, the fairy did the same for Reid along with a note thanking and reminding him to brush his teeth everyday. He also received a first tooth certificate like Connor, although I forgot to take a picture of it!
BUT WAIT...That's not all. The tooth fairy had a busy week at our house. No, Reid didn't lose another tooth, but big brother did!!
Connor has a funny story for his tooth. He had been eating an apple and all of a sudden, noticed a hole in his mouth. He had lost the tooth while eating the apple and swallowed it!! He was so shocked!
So he wrote the tooth fairy a note that night.
She still brought him $1 and a cool new light up toothbrush.
Now the tooth fairy hopes to rest before anyone else looses another tooth!!
In other news, Baby S #3 is planned to make his or her debut in 3 weeks or less!! Here is my belly shot from this past week at 36 weeks.
Showing 4 weeks to go!!
I haven't gained as much weight with this one (although I still have 3 weeks to catch up!) Connor weighed 8lb, 12oz. and Reid was 9lb, 6oz. So we were pretty surprised yesterday when at our ultrasound they estimated the baby to only be about 6lb 12oz. Of course that could be off about a pound, but if that is the case, this will definitely be my tiniest baby!! At this stage babies usually grow about .5lb/week, so with 3 weeks left, I won't come close to the 9lb mark!! My doctor is out of town next week, so I can't go into labor just yet! Anytime after the first of August though, would be alright by me!
I still really enjoy pregnancy, but this heat is starting to take a toll on me. That, and the baby is pretty low which makes me uncomfortable at times. I do have to make myself rest with my feet up for a little while everyday. But overall, I am so very thankful to have had 3 easy pregnancies!
