Last week at the boys school, they a fall fundraiser called the Pumpkin Dash. People gave donations and in turn, the kids ran laps around the playground. Connor did this twice at Winkley and once last spring at Ellisor and really enjoyed it each time. Both Connor and Reid were excited about the run again this year, and I was glad to be able to watch them.
Connor made a poster advertising the race, which was hung in the hallway at school.
First to run, the Con-man
It didn't take long for a water break
Next up, Reidy Reid. He was the first kindergartner out the door and he sped around the track. As you can see from his orange shirt, he was about 10 yards ahead of all the other kids!!
No other runners in sight!
He came around the first lap, hands raised and said, "First place!" It was hilarious!!!
I kept asking him if he wanted to stop and have a drink, but he would just shake his head and keep running. And he didn't jog, he RAN!
I asked him if he wanted to stop and walk a lap and he said, "No I want to get these 24 laps over with!" (No one really ran 24 laps, but he came close!)
We poured water on his head and that made him run even faster!! He was lapping everyone.
He did take a break and ask me to take a picture of him with the inflatable pumpkins.
My little speedster. I'm so glad he enjoyed it so. Too bad it didn't tire him out!!
He's a little stinker for sure, but gosh he's a cute one!!
Drew bug went to the pumpkin patch as well, by means of Chick-fil-a!
Hello, there!
After the race, they still didn't sit. This was one of the songs they performed, called "Tony Knows" (toe, knee, nose) It was so stinkin' cute!
