TWO MONTHS

Drew-bug is now TWO months old and what a crazy fun two months it's been (minus the hospital stay!) Drew is such a joy and we all love him so much!!

Before his one month check up we noticed he acted like he was in pain much of the time when eating.  He cried a lot and I thought maybe it was colic, or he was just going to be a fussy baby. And he had the whole projectile vomiting thing.  Thank goodness I mentioned it to his pediatrician who told me it was reflux.  Evidently, heartburn in babies is much more painful than it is in adults.  So every time he would eat, it would burn going down because the sphincter wasn't closing.  But then to make it worse, the stomach acid would come back up, burning his esophagus.  So he was crying because he was hungry, but then crying because it hurt to eat. He began taking Zantac, which I feel really worked.  We also figured out he has lactose sensitivity, so we buy special formula for that. He does still have frequent spit up, and usually quite a bit.  Some days he has several outfit changes (Mommy's little doll!) Because of that, he isn't able to eat too much at one time.  He only eats 3-4oz about every 3 hours.  Most babies at this age eat anywhere from 5-8oz.  That is why at his two month check up, his stats looked like this:

Height: 24.41" (94%)
Weight: 11 lb, 13oz (32%)
Head: 15.94" (84%)

Of course, he already looks like his daddy and big brother, Connor, so to be long and lean is just in his genes!! He is however, much smaller than his brothers were at this age.

Other than the reflux, he's a great baby.  I wish, however, he would sleep better at night, but I know part of that is due to him being hungry. He usually eats about every 2-3 hours at night, but is sometimes restless the other hours. So most nights i get to see each hour on the clock.  Of course, after having two early birds who never let Mama sleep much, I'm used to it! We're starting to work on a better nap schedule, but with all the going we do, it's hard. He still prefers to fall asleep in the car seat!

Right before his shots. That face says it all!

Likes: Diaper change, bath time, his new mobile-like toy in his crib
Dislikes: the swing, unless he's really tired, REFLUX!

I love this picture of him!!

He babbles so much! I love having conversations with him! He's also recently discovered his hands and puts them in his mouth often.

He only likes his pacifier if he's really tired, and even then it's only sometimes.  I wonder if I'm going to escape the pacifier with all 3 of my kids!?!

Here are his monthly pictures

Love this sweet little boy SO much!!
