A couple of weekends ago the boys and I went to Camp Cho-Yeh for the day. Camp Cho-Yeh is a Christian based camp located in Livingston. We had been telling the boys they should go to day camp there this summer, but Connor was having nothing to do with it. Thankfully, Cho-Yeh hosted a free "family day" where families can try out all the activities offered during summer camp. They also fed everyone a free meal in the dining hall.
First up, this inflatable. The boys were strapped with bungee cords and holding a velcro bean bag. They had to race each other and place the bean bag onto the velcro before the bungee cord pulled them back. It was pretty funny!!
Next up, the rock wall. Both boys made it all the way to the top to ring the bell!!
Way to go, Connor!!
Way to go, Reid!
Moving onto tomahawk throwing
Here we are cheering on the big boys!
Even Drew and I tried it out. After all, it was FAMILY day!!
Then, one of the boy's favorites, archery. It's much harder than it looks!!
That's as close as I could get to the bulls eye!! I don't think I'll be going bow hunting anytime soon!
Drew found a cute puppy!
Now time for sling shots!
Another one of the boy's favorite activities...b.b. gun!!
After lunch in the dining hall, it was time to get wet in the lake.
These were logs on which you had to try to stand and balance because they continued to roll!
Look out!!
In line for the big water slide.
Then zip lining and dropping into the lake.
Treehouse Masters is a show on Animal Planet. There are unbelievable tree houses built and the show captures the whole project. That show came to camp Cho-Yeh and built a tree there. The boys had lots of fun!
It was perfect weather to spend the day outdoors. It was warm enough that the lake felt great, but cool enough that you could stand to be outside and not sweat.
So do you think Connor felt any differently about going to day camp this summer? Not only is he over the top excited, he's mad that I didn't sign him up for overnight camp for the week!!! Guess we'll have to try that next summer.
That's all. Bye bye!
