Oh Reidy Reid...where do I begin?!? I guess the best way to describe him is a super smart stinker!! He often helps the 2nd grader with his math homework, and has been tested on a reading level of 10 which is mid-1st grade. (He can actually read higher, but he has to comprehend everything he reads.) He is the only kindergartner who is allowed to check out chapter books. Yesterday, he came home and showed me how he "wrote" a book. Because he finishes his work so quickly, his teacher had him re-write word for word his library book on beavers. And he did!! I love going back and reading about him each year because other than getting older, I feel I could continue saying the same things.
We had his yearly check-up a few days ago and he's a healthy 6 year old. And a big 6 year old:
Height: 50.2" (97%)
Weight: 52lb (80%)
At this rate, he is predicted to be about 6'7" by the age of 18. Not that I'm surprised, but my little baby boy 6'7"?!? I should've known when he entered this world at 9lb 6oz, 22" long!
For his birthday dinner we went to Chuy's, where they announced to everyone that it was Ricky's birthday, so everyone sang happy birthday to Ricky!! The rest of the night. Josh was calling him Ricky Bobby from the movie, "Talladega Nights."
