Football, Fires and Firsts

What a week we've had! First, I want to thank everyone for the calls, texts and prayers concerning the fires.  They have been very close to our house and even though our street didn't get evacuated with the most recent fire, we have our bags packed and ready to go. It's hard to pack a bag thinking that you could lose everything.  Where do you begin?!?  There is still no rain in the forecast so anytime anywhere another one can pop up. FIVE times today I saw smoke and fire trucks racing.  That has sadly become the norm around here.  The smell of smoke is still pretty strong and we've had ashes and embers falling all over our house.  We can only water our yard 2 days a week, and cannot grill or mow.  So keep the prayers coming for every one's safety and relief from this drought soon!

Now onto FOOTBALL!!
How 'bout those Baylor Bears?!?!?!? What an exciting game!!! I usually take the boys with me but since it was hot and a late game I left them behind. I sat with my brother and friend Sarah and we had SO much fun!!!!

Sarah and I were roommates at Baylor and in Dallas.  Our parents were even friends at Baylor, so we love the green and gold!
This was probably the best BU game I've gone to!

Then on Sunday, Daddy went to Aggieland to cheer on the Aggies.

 Aggies Win!!!
Uncle Jason came to visit for a couple of days!!!

And Tuesday brought the first day of school for Connor.  We switched schools this year and are now going to Bethany United Methodist Church where we are members.  I am very excited about the change, as is Connor.  He never shed a tear and had a great day!  Yea!!

Reid always looking up to his big brother!
