We knew this time would come, but it never seemed real; until today. Addy has officially moved. Addy has been Connor's best friend, but more than that, Addy's mom has been MY best friend and I know soon enough we'd see that Ava and Reid would be best friends. It's so rare to find someone with that connection and I feel so blessed to have shared so many memories with them. Anytime one child had to go to the doctor, we'd bring the other child over to play. Or last week when I left early for the Baylor game, I dropped the boys off with them until Josh got home from work. And when Angela went to Dallas to look for a new house, Addy played at our house all day. Neither one of us has family close by; we are each other's family.
Growing up, I never had to say goodbye. My parents still live in the same house we moved to when I was 4 years old. I was lucky, I guess, because I would not be able to do this very often! But I know many trips to the Waco Zoo will take place and many phone calls will happen!! So with that, we say thank you Angela, Addy and Ava for the wonderful memories and your steadfast friendship. We will miss you dearly.

This post made me cry. I'm so sorry that you both had to say goodbye to your friends. I've had to do the same thing and it is not fun at all :(
